Damn Lonely Planet guide book telling me the wrong name. Forgive me as I am Australian, and having never been to Scotland I was overly excited to see such a sight.
I have now called it by its right name.
Just been offered an internship at the Walkley Foundation!
For the journalism nerd inside of me, this is very exciting stuff.
Why?
- When old crusty journalists are given awards for writing good stories, they are Walkley Awards. This is the foundation of Australian journalism, and to be able to do this will be awesome
- It’s in Sydney, in the ‘big smoke’, for three weeks (4 days a week, so I can still work)
- And even better, they actually pay! Not an actual wage by any means, but just enough that it means doing an internship will not actually mean that I end up losing money.
